TRUTH RECOVERY INDEPENDENT PANEL
We have been appointed by the Executive Office to carry out an independent investigation into Mother and Baby Institutions, Magdalene Laundries and Workhouses in Northern Ireland from 1922 – 1995, and their related pathways and practices, including the adoption and care system.
Our 10-person Independent Panel includes practitioners who are experts in six important areas and victim-survivor representatives with personal experience of institutionalisation, the care system, fostering and adoption practices.
